The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has established a new round-the-clock intelligence centre designed to monitor critical incidents, track emerging security threats and accelerate the circulation of sensitive information across the agency.
The new facility, known as the Director’s Strategic Information Center (DSIC), will operate 24 hours a day, providing continuous monitoring of security developments and strengthening the FBI’s ability to coordinate responses to emerging threats.
Announcing the initiative, FBI Director Kash Patel said the centre would significantly reduce the time required to distribute critical intelligence across the bureau.
According to Patel, information that previously took several hours to circulate could now reach relevant personnel in less than one minute.
The initiative is aimed at improving operational coordination, ensuring that intelligence reaches decision-makers faster and enabling the agency to respond more effectively to rapidly developing security situations.
The establishment of the DSIC underscores the FBI’s increasing emphasis on real-time intelligence sharing and continuous threat monitoring as security challenges become more complex and fast-moving.
